Each week Ken Lien compiles a list of the ten top boys basetball teams in Minnesota for Minnesota Preps. This is a statewide list, combining teams from all four classes. The list for March 10, 2008:

The top three teams have been shuffled around due to Hopkins suffering their first defeat of the season at the hands of Minnetonka. As a result, Osseo has finished the regular season as our #1 team, followed by Minnetonka and then Hopkins. Even though Hopkins has a better overall season record, I moved them to #3 as Minnetonka had a larger point differential in their head-to-head matchup.

It is not known if Carrington Tankson will be playing again after his recent medical situation. Should he not be playing, this could greatly affect the Oriole’s as they move further into the post season playoffs.

The next 10 days will bring great excitement, coupled with potential heartaches for coaches, players and fans as all sectional champs will be crowned by March 19th.

The boy’s state tourney will commence one week after the last sectional championship game is played, running March 26-29.
