How to watch

We have changed the "engine" which runs our video streams. This should make for a better viewing experience. Just follow the on-screen prompts to install a "plug-in" for your browser, agreeing to download/install and you should be ready to watch in less than a minute. "Double-A" began broadcasting high school sports while still in high school. After working part time at KFIL AM/FM in Preston as a high school senior and through college, Alan was hired as their sports director. In two years at the helm, Double-A called four Prep Bowl championship games (including a triple-header in 1995), and boys and girls basketball tournaments in both 1995 and 1996.

The "Dean of Twin Cities Webcasters", Alan began streaming live events for the Minnesota Vixen of the Women's Professional Football League in 2000. Since then he has covered football, basketball, wrestling, and hockey at the amateur, high school, collegiate, and professional levels. "The sky is the limit with the web," according to Double-A. "With new technology there's a learning curve, and I think we're just starting to get an idea of what we can do with this. It's exciting to be on the forefront of a new medium"

Legends such as Herb Carneal, Vin Scully, Jack Buck, Ray Christensen, and Ray Scott are inspiration for Alan. "I think something has been lost over the years. The guys who came along before TV had to describe everything that happened on the field. I try to emulate their styles. Let the game be the story and simply relate what is happening, filling in some commentary only when it is needed."

Football and baseball are closest to Alan's heart. But he's equally adept calling a basketball game. As for hockey, "There wasn't a rink within an hour's drive of home as a kid. But it's a fascinating game. I'm learning it and I want to understand it better."
